📖 Let's read it together

— Exodus 2:23–25 (ESV)
🙋 Does it surprise you that God was already preparing an answer before Israel prayed?

🎯 Recap Quiz — Can you remember?

How did God show His faithfulness to Israel even while they were in Egypt?
He multiplied them from just 70 people into a huge nation — over 600,000 men, plus women and children — even while they were suffering as slaves!
What did Pharaoh do to try to stop Israel from growing?
He made them slaves with hard labour, and then ordered the Hebrew midwives to kill all the baby boys. But none of his plans worked — Israel kept growing!
Why were the Hebrew midwives brave?
They feared God more than they feared Pharaoh. They refused to kill the babies, and God blessed them for choosing Him.
How did God protect baby Moses?
His mum put him in a waterproof basket among the reeds of the Nile. Pharaoh's own daughter found him and adopted him — and Moses' real mum got to nurse him!
What did Moses do wrong when he first tried to help his people?
He took matters into his own hands and killed an Egyptian. He acted in his own strength instead of waiting for God's plan and timing.
What was God doing while Moses spent 40 quiet years as a shepherd in Midian?
God was patiently preparing Moses to lead His people. Even the "quiet years" weren't wasted — God was teaching him to care, to wait, and to follow God's way.
Why is it amazing that God was preparing Moses BEFORE Israel even cried out?
It shows God is always at work for His people — His faithfulness goes ahead of us, even before we ask!
How does Moses point us to Jesus?
Moses rescued Israel from slavery to Pharaoh. Jesus rescues us from a much worse slavery — slavery to sin. Jesus is the greater Deliverer!

✝️ SPOTLIGHT ON THE GOSPEL

Jesus: The Greater Deliverer

📖 Let's read it together
"Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
